Cafe Marleen in Rotenburg (Wumme)

Meanwhile new operator: Wiener Café. Unfortunately there is no longer Café Marlen. The new café is different, but also very good. Both described here and both as recommendations. About the Café Marlene: cake, cake and coffee were delicious and very nice service. Good daily newspapers available, loan books and a nice atmosphere. Sometimes the shop assistants at the integrated one world shop eat bananas. That smells bad. Otherwise everything is really nice. Addendum: Unfortunately, the Café Marlen no longer exists since Corona. There is now a follow-up café on the area that I will visit soon. Let's see if coffee, cake and friendliness will be as great as before. I will definitely write a small subjective review :) Addendum Oct 2020. There is now a café again at the location. The Café Vienna. I've been there a few times and think that's very good too. The coffee tastes different than in the Marlene, but is also very, very good. Tip: try your hand at the different coffee preparations! The one in the red cups is the cream (?) And my favorite. The Viennese Melange comes across as Viennese;) ... Instead of daily newspapers, there are now weekly newspapers ... Cakes and pies are good, but were a bit more ambitious before, I mean. Ergo: it's a shame that the previous owner stopped, but the successor café is worthy of Marlene's big footsteps, I think.

You seldom experience such good service. The young waitress was extremely courteous and friendly. You almost felt like a family! The cake and tea were also of particularly good quality. A café where you can also sit down to read on your own. ☺️

It is a beautiful café where you can really relax. Everything is done here with great passion and a sense of detail. It is really nice to discover such a café in times when you can almost only find system catering on every corner. If it is worth promoting something, it is such a business.

Something different: A photo of the empty table! 😉 Cafe Marleen is not really mine. Too public for me, more like a large living space. A lot of confusion with the furniture, which is probably wanted. A bad rating would be unfair. We were there for breakfast on Sunday. The buffet was okay for the price (11.50, - pp). The quality was very good, the bread extra class. The staff is also very attentive and friendly. Everything is very clean, it is not too expensive only I myself do not like such cafes. Nevertheless, we will come back for coffee and cake. Because they looked really great! And the breakfast was delicious!

The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Only the cocoa and the normal rolls were mediocre. The cocoa was unfortunately quite weak and the normal rolls quite small and crumbly. It is definitely worth a visit. The scrambled eggs and the bacon is really delicious.

I Love the ambiance

A small, fine café in the pedestrian area of ​​Rotenburg. There are homemade cakes and pies, as well as heat drinks to buy. Everything was very tasty. On our next visit to Rotenburg, we will certainly return here for a delicious piece of cake and tea 😀

A very nice little cafe with many nice old furniture. The cakes are really good and much better than those of the previous owners. You can tell that there is expertise at work. Coffee and tea are good and inexpensive. Nice is that the one-world shop is still integrated in the store. In summer you can sit outside, although it is not the sunniest part of the pedestrian zone due to its location. The opening times have also improved.

Great cafe with Rotenburg's best home-made pies and cakes. Even the coffee drinks convinced us and in that respect we are quite demanding. The prices are reasonable. If you want it cheaper, you should go to the bakery and eat the industrially produced 0815 cake.
